Breda did her chef training in The Cordon Bleu School of Cooking in London before setting up Step House Country House in the 90's. After many years there she moved on to the Shelbourne Hotel among other high profile establishments in the capital. Other experiences include stints in the Vineyards of Napa Valley California and years as administrator to the Irish Countrywomen's Association. More recently she ran Travel Food Wine, where she organised small trips, at home and abroad incorporating wine tastings, cooking weekends, walking holidays and other interactive activities that are sociable & fun.
She is most likely to be found involved in some form of culinary tourism, special tasting or events and at the moment has been spotted in every corner of the country as she collects and tests recipes for her new publication. Food has always been her great passion and the wonderful array of locally grown artisan foods, beers and botanical spirits, once only available on the \continent and further afield, shows how grown up Ireland has become. This diversity and improved farming techniques brings delight to her heart and she loves promoting Ireland as a food and beverage destination with a difference.
